With the budget cuts to sports programs across the country, there has become an even greater need to provide hardship scholarships for the next generation to continue the traditions of baseball.
With the unique layout that is exclusively experienced in the Phoenix Cactus League of 15 teams, The Valley is the only place in the world such a rare event can occur. Woodjock provides fans with a cross over experience of athletes to musicians; providing not only a night of entertainment but also through the athletes of today, the funds needed for tomorrow. Woodjock net proceeds will benefit local youth sports programs and camps here in the Valley. We feel strongly about supporting the athletes of tomorrow and hope that every professional athlete will take a moment and remember his high school alma mater. Arizona's third baseman, Matt Williams, is going to have a great hand in helping us achieve our goal in making it possible for the youth athletes of the Valley to continue in their sports programs.
All net proceeds from Woodjock 2012 will be distributed to the Arizona RBI program, which currently serves more than 2,000 boys and girls ages 4-18 years old. Most of the children in the program come from under-served communities throughout the state and Arizona RBI makes it possible for them to play baseball and softball while providing educational programs to learn life skills.
